At the international media forum New Era of Journalism: Farewell to Mainstream hosted by Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency in Moscow, Russia, Wikileaks founder and public enemy Julian Assange asserted that “Google is directly engaged with Hillary Clinton’s campaign.”
He went on to explain U.S. imperialism and exceptionalism throughout his interview.
“Google is heavily integrated with Washington power, at personal level and at business level… Google which has increasing control over the distribution channels… is intensely allying itself US exceptionalism. What we have with Clinton is someone who is a hawk but who has the tools of legal interventionism, a rhetorical cover to start the wars, and someone who seemingly wants to start them… From WikiLeaks’ perspective Hillary Clinton is a problem in terms of war and peace..”
Perhaps the scariest assertion Assange made at he conference was that Democratic potential nominee Hillary Clinton is a “hawk” with the tools of legal interventionism who seemingly “wants to start wars”.
Bearing in mind the fact that Julian Assange has read a considerable amount of the emails from Clinton’s private email server, emails that were stolen during her time as the U.S. Secretary of State, it’s probably safe to say he has an inside perspective on the mind of the current Democratic presidential candidate. And, considering Clinton’s history of openly discussing war with Iran and wanting to put ground troops in Syria, Assange may not be far off.
