Believe it or not, surgery is being replaced more often by robotic arms and intricately delicate metal fingers and lasers. Precise and smaller incisions provide more accurate and efficient surgical operations and leave minimal room for human error.

The popular movie Ender’s Game from 2013 shows a future not to far from the present where robots handle all the surgical procedures that humans used to screw up by drinking on the job and general nervousness. The big debate is whether we can trust that the robots will perform the way we program them to or if the artificial intelligence being developed concurrently will trump our intentions and cause unforeseen complications…
